SENDIASS Case Officer
Rate of Pay: £34.79 per hour
Contract: Full-timeWorking pattern: Hybrid (mix of remote working and community-based travel)Initial contract: 3 months (with potential for extension) We are currently recruiting for an experienced SENDIASS Case Officer to support a local authority service, working directly with children, young people, and their families.
This role requires a confident practitioner who can manage Level 3 and 4 casework, providing high-quality advice, support, and advocacy across a range of SEND matters.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage a caseload of complex SEND cases (Levels 3 and 4)
- Provide advice and guidance in line with SEND legislation and statutory frameworks
- Deliver advocacy support to parents, carers, and young people
- Support and represent service users through SEND Tribunal processes and hearings
- Assist in completing complex documentation and casework requirements
- Work directly with families within the local area, including travel as required
Requirements:- Strong understanding of the SENDIASS role and service delivery
- Extensive knowledge of SEND legislation, including the Children and Families Act and SEND Code of Practice
- Proven experience working with parents, carers, and young people in SEND settings
- Demonstrable experience in advocacy, including tribunal processes
- Ability to manage complex casework independently
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Must be based locally and able to travel in and out of the area to support service users
