Job Title: Lead Occupational Therapist
Rate: £38.81 per hour
Location: Brent (Hybrid – 3 days in office)
About the Role: Pertemps is recruiting for an experienced Lead Occupational Therapist to manage the Social Care Occupational Therapy Service within a Children’s team in Brent. This is a key leadership role, combining service management responsibilities with hands-on clinical work supporting children and families.
You will lead a team of Occupational Therapists, providing supervision and oversight, while also delivering high-quality assessments and interventions for children with disabilities.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage and oversee the Social Care Occupational Therapy Service
- Provide supervision, guidance, and support to Occupational Therapists
- Carry out specialist assessments for children with physical, cognitive, or sensory needs
- Recommend and facilitate provision of equipment, home adaptations, and specialist seating
- Develop manual handling plans and complete environmental assessments
- Work directly with children, families, and carers to promote independence and wellbeing
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and partner agencies
- Ensure interventions support children’s development, inclusion, and overall outcomes
Requirements:- Qualified Occupational Therapist with HCPC registration
- Significant experience working with children with disabilities within Social Care
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience
- Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and best practice
- Ability to manage both clinical and managerial responsibilities effectively
