Systems Manager – SEND (Strategic Transformation)
Location: Derbyshire (Hybrid – minimum 1 day per week onsite at County Hall)
Rate: £500 per day
Hours: 37 hours per week

Pertemps is seeking an experienced Systems Manager – SEND to provide strategic transformation programme support and drive delivery of the SEND Priority Impact Plan.

This role will strengthen transformation capacity across the SEND system, improving coordination, accountability, and strategic oversight of complex workstreams. You will play a critical role in ensuring change initiatives are delivered effectively, risks are proactively managed, and improved outcomes are achieved for children and young people across Derbyshire.
Key Responsibilities:

• Drive delivery across multiple SEND transformation workstreams
• Scope and review current transformation activity, maximising efficiency and ensuring sustainable progress
• Strengthen coordination and strategic oversight across the SEND system
• Embed robust governance and reporting structures, providing timely and accurate updates to the SEND Operational Delivery Group and SEND Improvement Board
• Align transformation activity with commissioning priorities
• Develop, maintain, and oversee a comprehensive system-wide risk register, ensuring risks are identified, tracked, and mitigated
• Support a whole-system approach to SEND transformation and continuous improvement

Key Requirements:

• Significant experience in programme or systems management within SEND, education, or local authority transformation
• Strong project and change management expertise
• Proven ability to work across complex systems and multiple stakeholders
• Experience supporting governance boards and senior leadership reporting
• Excellent risk management and strategic planning skills
