Salary: £26.63 per hour Hours: 37 hours per week Contract Type: Ongoing

Join the Southampton Reablement Team as an
Adults Occupational Therapist and play a vital role in delivering high-quality, person-centred services that empower adults to maintain independence, maximise function, and remain safely in their own homes. This is an excellent opportunity for an OT who thrives in a fast-paced community environment and is passionate about supporting individuals through strength-based and reablement-focused interventions.
Key Responsibilities: – Undertake functional
occupational therapy assessments, care planning, and reviews to promote independence and daily living skills.
– Advise, teach, and support individuals and carers to overcome disability and improve confidence in daily activities.
– Recommend and provide
standard and specialist equipment, and offer guidance on necessary home adaptations.
– Work closely with colleagues across
health, social care, and partner agencies to deliver coordinated, multi-disciplinary support.
– Supervise and support
Occupational Therapy Assistants and students where required.
– Maintain accurate and timely documentation, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, professional standards, and Council policies.
– Demonstrate a strong commitment to
safeguarding adults and promoting equality in line with the Council’s policies.
Essential Requirements:
–
Diploma or BSc in Occupational Therapy (or equivalent recognised by the World Federation of Occupational Therapists).
–
HCPC registration.
– Experience working within a
health or social care community setting.
– Ability to manage a demanding and varied caseload, prioritising effectively.
– Strong communication, assessment, and analytical/problem-solving skills.
– Ability to travel within Southampton to complete community visits.
