Pertemps Social Care are currently recruiting for an experienced and motivated Occupational Therapist to join the Adult Services team within Haringey Council.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an Occupational Therapist who is passionate about supporting adults to live safely and independently within their own homes. The role will involve carrying out assessments, developing care and support plans, and providing specialist advice and intervention to meet individuals’ functional and environmental needs.
Key Responsibilities:

• Undertake comprehensive functional and environmental assessments within the community and in service users’ homes.
• Identify and recommend appropriate equipment and adaptations to promote independence, safety, and quality of life.
• Complete detailed reports, care plans, and risk assessments in line with professional standards and service policies.
• Work collaboratively with service users, carers, and multi-disciplinary colleagues to achieve person-centred outcomes.
• Pick up and collect small pieces of equipment (e.g. bath boards, toilet frames, commodes) from the local Haringey P store.
• Deliver, install, and demonstrate safe use of these items within service users’ homes.

Requirements:

• Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy.
• Current HCPC registration.
• Strong assessment and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage a varied caseload.
• Car driver preferable, though not essential – practitioners are able to claim taxi expenses for equipment delivery when required.
