Pay: £28.98 per hour
Contract: Temporary | Full Time
Pertemps are currently recruiting for an experienced Occupational Therapist to join the Double-Handed Project Team in Brent. This innovative service focuses on reviewing and reducing double-handed care packages, promoting safe, sustainable, and person-centred single-handed care.
Responsibilities:
- Undertake comprehensive occupational therapy assessments to identify functional ability and care needs.
- Apply advanced manual handling skills to prescribe and implement suitable equipment and adaptations.
- Work collaboratively with social workers, care agencies, and wider multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe and efficient care solutions.
- Provide training, guidance, and risk management advice to carers, families, and support staff.
- Ensure interventions promote independence, dignity, and least restrictive practice.
- Support cost-effective, outcome-focused care through detailed review and redesign of care packages.
- HCPC registered Occupational Therapist.
- Strong knowledge of manual handling, equipment provision, and environmental adaptations.
- Previous experience in community or rehabilitation settings.
- Excellent communication and clinical reasoning skills.
- Competitive pay rate of £28.98 per hour.
