SEND Tribunal Assistant Location: Oxfordshire County Council
Rate: £184.36 – £199.61 per day 
Contract: 3 months (potential extension)
Working pattern: Remote – occasional office attendance for meetings/training (approx. once a month)

Job Purpose Pertemps are recruiting on behalf of Oxfordshire County Council for a SEND Tribunal Assistant to support the administration and coordination of cases within the SENDIST Tribunal process.
This role will involve ensuring that all appeal deadlines are met, documentation is accurately prepared, and Tribunal Officers are fully supported in managing casework in line with statutory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
  • Support the administration, registration, and tracking of Appeals within the SENDIST Tribunal process.
  • Ensure all legal deadlines and procedural requirements are met in accordance with Tribunal rules.
  • Provide high-quality administrative support to Tribunal Officers, including document preparation, correspondence, and record management.
  • Maintain effective communication with colleagues across the service, wider local authority, and partner agencies.
  • Keep up to date with changes in legislation, policy, and guidance relating to SEND and Tribunal processes.
  • Contribute to the smooth running of the SEND Tribunal Team through proactive and organised working practices.
Requirements
  • Enhanced DBS – Children’s & Adults Barred List (essential).
  • Strong administrative background, ideally within SEND or education services.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Confident communicator, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
Additional Information
  • Remote working with potential office attendance once a month.
  • Option to hot desk at other local offices as required.
  • 3-month initial contract with scope for extension.
