Location: Dorchester, Dorset (County Hall base with county-wide travel)
Contract Type: Temporary, Full-time (37 hours per week)
Rate: Up to £35.00 per hour 
Working Pattern: Hybrid / Remote (with office-based and county-wide visits as required)

About the Role The Home First Occupational Therapy Team has recently expanded to meet growing demand for:

• Hospital discharges
• Active recovery
• Reablement packages

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join this busy and supportive team.

You will work collaboratively with health and community partners, building strong relationships to improve health and care outcomes for individuals across the county.

The team operates across all areas of Dorset, so you will be expected to complete visits across the county. Your main base will be County Hall, Dorchester, with hybrid working supported.

Key Responsibilities

• Undertake assessments and interventions to support timely hospital discharges, recovery, and reablement.
• Collaborate with health and social care partners to deliver integrated support.
• Contribute to service delivery across Dorset through flexible and responsive practice.

Requirements

• Enhanced Adults DBS (can be arranged if not current)
• Right to work in the UK
• SWE (HCPC) Registered Occupational Therapist
• Degree in Occupational Therapy (or equivalent)
• Minimum of 3 years’ post-qualified UK experience
• Access to a car and willingness to travel across the county
• Strong knowledge of relevant frameworks, practice models, and human development theories
