Job Description
Location: Haringey Council
Pay: £23.71 per hour
Pertemps is recruiting an Occupational Therapy Assistant to join the OT Duty Team at Haringey Council.
In this role, you will:
- Contact and assess residents waiting for triage, OT assessments, or equipment to make their homes more accessible.
- Work with families of children, older people, and adults with disabilities or long-term health conditions to promote independence through equipment and adaptations.
- Carry out home visits and assessments, providing excellent customer care at all times.
- Collect, deliver, install, and demonstrate safe use of small equipment items (e.g. bath boards, toilet frames, commodes) from a local Haringey store.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Confidence with IT systems and processes.
- Excellent customer service and the ability to work empathetically with residents.
- A full UK driving licence is preferable, but not essential (taxi expenses can be claimed for equipment delivery).
