About the Role: We are looking for an experienced
SEND Officer to join the Assessment Team at Derbyshire County Council, supporting children and young people aged
0–25 years. This is a fully remote opportunity, offering flexibility while making a direct impact on the lives of children, young people, and their families.
As a SEND Officer, you will play a key role in removing barriers to learning and ensuring children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) receive the right support to prepare for adulthood.
Key Responsibilities:- Hold and manage a caseload within the 0–25 assessment team.
- Undertake assessments, provide advice, and develop outcome-focused plans.
- Offer guidance and support to children, young people, and their families.
- Work collaboratively as part of the SEND team, ensuring needs are met in an integrated and sustainable way.
- Broker support from specialist services where required.
- Use IDOX Hub (experience preferred).
Requirements:- Previous experience working in a SEND Officer or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of SEND legislation, assessments, and planning.
- Excellent communication and partnership-working skills.
- Experience of IDOX Hub is highly desirable.
