The Role This is a
mobile Commercial Gas Engineer role, providing
service, maintenance, and breakdown support across a portfolio healthcare contract through the east Midlands.
You will work with a wide range of HVAC and mechanical plant equipment, focusing primarily on
commercial gas systems and boiler plant. This role requires a qualified and experienced engineer with up-to-date
commercial gas tickets and the ability to work independently across multiple client sites.
Key Responsibilities- Service, maintenance, and breakdown of commercial gas boilers and heating systems
- Diagnose faults and carry out effective repairs across various plant equipment
- Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across HVAC systems
- Work across a wide range of commercial premises including offices, schools, and public buildings
- Maintain clear and accurate job records via company-provided mobile device/tablet
- Adhere to health and safety policies and industry regulations at all times
- Participate in the out-of-hours call-out rota (1 in 8 weeks)
Requirements Essential:- Current Commercial Gas qualifications (ACS) including:
- COCN1 / CODNCO1
- CIGA1, ICPN1, TPCP1/1A
- Proven experience in servicing and repairing commercial gas appliances
- Full UK driving licence
- Comfortable covering a mobile patch across London and surrounding areas
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
Desirable:- Additional HVAC qualifications or experience
- F-Gas or domestic gas qualifications (beneficial but not essential)
