CNC Setter

Job Title: CNC Setter / Operator
Pay: Up to £16.00 per hour (DOE)
Location: Crewkerne
Hours: 39 per week
Shift: Monday–Friday, early finish Fridays

The Role

As a CNC Lathe Setter / Operator, you’ll set and operate 2- and 3-axis CNC lathes to produce small to medium batch components to tight tolerances. Programming experience is an advantage but not essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set and operate CNC lathes (Fanuc controls)
• Carry out first-off and in-process inspections using precision instruments
• Adjust settings confidently with minimal supervision
• Maintain tooling and replace inserts
• Perform basic machine maintenance and deburring
• Operate overhead cranes (training provided)

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years’ CNC Lathe experience
• Proficient in reading technical drawings
• Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills
• Strong commitment to health and safety
• Team player with independent working ability
