🌟 About the Role A supportive and well-resourced primary school in Lambeth is seeking a passionate SEN Teacher to join their specialist Autism Resource Provision. You will be responsible for delivering highly personalised teaching to pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), supporting both academic progress and social-emotional development.

Specialist autism provisions in the borough typically offer small class sizes, high staff-to-pupil ratios, structured learning environments, and strong multidisciplinary collaboration to help pupils reach their full potential.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced SEN Teacher or a mainstream teacher looking to transition into a specialist setting.

🧠 Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver differentiated, engaging lessons tailored to individual EHCP targets
  • Use autism-specific strategies such as visual timetables, structured routines, and sensory-aware teaching approaches
  • Work closely with Teaching Assistants, therapists, SENCOs, and external professionals
  • Support pupils’ communication skills, emotional regulation, and independence
  • Monitor progress and contribute to EHCP reviews and personalised learning plans
  • Foster a calm, inclusive, and positive classroom environment
βœ… Ideal Candidate
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience working with Autism / complex SEN needs (school, specialist provision, or PRU)
  • Strong behaviour management and relationship-building skills
  • Knowledge of strategies such as TEACCH, SCERTS, or Attention Autism (desirable)
  • Patient, resilient, and committed to inclusive education
