Location: Dagenham
Reporting To: Senior Buyer
Salary- £45,000-£50,000 DOE


Pertemps are excited to be working with a key player in the Automotive industry. They are looking for an experienced Buyer to join their team in Dagenham. Your role will involve managing supplier relationships, issue RFIs/RFQs, and update their MRP/ERP system (Epicor). Travel within the UK and overseas is required, so a clean driving license and passport are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Benchmark and select suppliers.
• Generate and execute RFIs & RFQs.
• Negotiate prices and terms.
• Raise purchase orders based on demand.
• Manage supply chain risks and support supplier development.
• Ensure timely and quality delivery of materials.
• Maintain high communication standards with suppliers.
• Manage supplier performance and perform cost-down activities.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Experience in international sourcing and buying.
• Strong MRP/ERP knowledge, ideally Epicor.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Engineering knowledge is a plus.
• CIPS qualification or willingness to obtain it.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Proactive and team-oriented.
