Hours: 07:30 – 16:30 Mon – Thurs , 07:00 – 13:00 Fri
Start date 03/03/2025
Working Environment: All warehouse and storage areas.




Summary:

The role is responsible for the efficient handling, storage, and dispatch of goods to meet customer requirements. The role will form part of the team responsible for warehouse operations, including stock management, order picking, and dispatch preparation.



Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Order Fulfilment: Ensure all customer orders are accurately picked, packed, and prepared for dispatch, as required by the Warehouse Supervisor.
  • Stock Handling: Assist with the safe and efficient receipt, storage, and rotation of stock, ensuring proper inventory management.
  • Team Participation: Work collaboratively as part of a team and contribute to continuous improvement in all warehouse processes.
  • Health & Safety: Maintain a safe, clean, and organized working environment, adhering to company safety policies and environmental standards, including ISO 14001.
  • Record Keeping: Accurately record stock movements, complete relevant paperwork, and update systems as required.
  • Overtime: Be willing to work overtime, at the appropriate rates of pay, to meet business needs as required and agreed with the Warehouse Supervisor.
  • Quality Checks: Report any damaged or defective stock to the Warehouse Supervisor and recommend improvements to warehouse processes where necessary.
  • Cross-Department Support: Assist with increased demand in other departments, as required.
  • Meetings: Attend team briefings and other relevant meetings as required.


Requirements:
  • A willingness to undertake training and develop additional skills as required.
  • Awareness of safety and the importance of reporting potential hazards or unsafe procedures.
  • Commitment to ensuring goods are handled with care and dispatched in perfect condition, meeting customer and business standards.
  • Strong team player with the ability to liaise with staff across different departments, as necessary.
  • Proactive and adaptable, with a focus on maintaining efficiency and supporting operational improvements.
