Teacher of Geography - Full Time - High Pay

Pertemps are pleased to be working alongside a Chelmsford based Secondary School looking to take on a Full Time Teacher of Geography.

The role:
The school is seeking a passionate and dedicated Geography Teacher to join itsteam. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality geography lessons that inspire and challenge students. The role involves ensuring that pupils achieve their full potential, both academically and in their personal development.

Key Responsibilities:
• Plan and deliver engaging and effective geography lessons for secondary school students.
• Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback to support their development.
• Adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of all students, including those with SEND.
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages respect and cooperation.
• Participate in extracurricular activities, clubs, and school trips to enhance the educational experience.
• Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of the department.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the geography curriculum 

Pertemps Ideal Candidate:
 • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree.
• Proven experience teaching geography at the secondary school level.
• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage and motivate students.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to professional development and continuous learning.
• A passion for geography and the ability to inspire a love of learning about the world in students.

• DBS Enhanced Certificate on the Update (not essential) as well as recent references. 
• Personal vehicle preferred but not essential 

- School hours are typically 8:30 to 15:20 Monday to Friday
- Extremely competitive weekly pay rate via Pertemps Education
