Employment Term: Full-time
Pertemps are recruiting for permanent social workers to ojin the Assessment and Intevrention team in Slough. The postholder will be responsible for undertaking social work on allocated cases and producing outcome-based plans that reflect the needs of and risks to children and their families. They will develop effective relationships with children, young people and their families to improve the impact of work and determine the level of service available.
Main duties & accountabilities:
- Completing assessments of the needs of children and their families
- Knowledge and ability of multiagency working
- Ability to explore and assess risk
- Drawing up plans of intervention in the lives of children and their families
- Knowledge of family network meetings/family group conferences to draw up family support plan
- Knowledge of the Children’s Act; particularly sections 17 and 47
- Presenting cases in multiagency meetings/settings
- Writing professional reports
- Ability to work collaboratively with families
- Court work experience is an added advantage
- Ability to effectively communicate with children and actively involve them in the assessment of their needs
- Social Work England registered
- Demonstrable post graduate experience within children and families
- Ability to write reports to a high standard
- Car driver
