Senior Social Worker, £43ph, Leaving Care Team, Cheshire West
Pertemps are recruiting for a qualified and experienced Social Worker to join the Leaving Care Team (Supporting Independence Team), which sits in the permanency hub, working with LAC and care leavers across all localities within Cheshire West and Chester.
The candidate will support the team manager with managing the diverse work of this team through:

• Giving supervision to Personal Advisers, supporting them in their work with care leavers
• Leading reflective group discussions with Personal Advisers and Social Workers on developing practice
• Advising Social Workers and Personal Advisers on complex issues within their work 
• Being the allocated Social Worker for a small number of looked after children supporting them through the care planning and pathway planning process to develop their independent living skills.
• Sharing development of systems and processes in our ambitious journey of continual improvement.

 With this in mind, we are looking for candidates with experience of assessment and pathway planning with LAC and working with teenagers and young adults. Also experience of mentoring others and developing practice. Knowledge of DoLs, and of supporting transition into adulthood is desirable.

Requirements:

• At least 2 years post qualified and have experience and proven performance in quality work with young people and partner agencies.
• Lives within a reasonable distance from Cheshire West, as whilst there is hybrid policy in place, there is an expectation of regular working from office bases.
• SWE registered
