Intervention Officer, Independent Domestic Violence Advocate (IDVA), £29.81ph, HackneyPertemps are recruiting for a Intervention Officer / Independent Domestic Violence Advocate (IDVA) post which will require working with residents in the Local Authority aged 16+ experiencing domestic violence. The postholder will be expected to be able to build rapport and establish a respectful, honest and supportive relationship with victims / survivors of domestic abuse and work within the community to promote the safety and well-being of those we work with. They will be part of a team that provides duty advice and information to those who self-refer and to various professionals. Within this role they may complete home or community visits with or without other professionals (only where safe to do so).
The successful candidate will be a qualified Independent Domestic Violence Advocate or will have worked for at least 2 years in the last 5 years in a domestic abuse advocacy role.
