IT Systems Engineer sought by a major global manufacturer to join their head office in Ross-on-Wye.
Flexible hours are available for this role and 50% hybrid working will be available after probation should you wish to use it.
The Role:As an IT Systems Engineer, Network Engineer, Infrastructure Engineer, you’ll join the international team supporting and developing the company’s IT infrastructure. You’ll play a key role in maintaining and improving this infrastructure.
Your key duties will include:- Network device management e.g. switches, routers, VLANs, WiFi etc
- Administrating and troubleshooting Microsoft Windows Server
- Operating network services: AD, DHCP, DNS etc
- Supporting EDR solutions
- IT project management including evaluating alternative solutions and managing implementation
- Delivering solutions for the company in conjunction with 3rd party providers
- Upgrading previous IT solutions and implementing new ones
- Supporting IT colleagues with troubleshooting employee PC issues
- Designing and implementing new technical processes and policies
The successful IT Systems Engineer will demonstrate:- Experience in a similar IT / Network / Infrastructure / Systems Engineer role
- Experience of working in an ITIL based environment
- Excellent Windows Server and Client skills
- Excellent understanding of networking, ideally Cisco
- Ability to collaborate with multiple teams across the company
- Ability to work independently and on your own initiative
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Full UK driving licence as occasional travel within the UK will be required for incident management and project work
