I have a new opportunity for an experienced Accounts Manager to join a reputable Construction business in Cornwall. The client work on local projects within Cornwall and Devon providing affordable local materials to the market.
Working within a busy office managing 2 members of the Accounts team and running the accounting function which is an important element of the business.
What’s required:
- Managing Payroll for all employees
- Vat Returns & reports
- Setting up new customer accounts
- Organising new starters
- Daily sales ledger
- Payments to subcontractors and CIS returns
- VAT returns
- Resolve and payment queries
- Processing large payments
- Supporting and managing 2 members of the team
- Proven background in the housebuilding/construction sector in a similar role
- Experience working within Accounts and ideally qualified at AAT level or higher
- Confident managing others and can work to deadlines
- Proative, motivated and organised
- Experience using Sage software and ideally EQUE2, good knowledge of Excel and spreadsheets
