Container Transport Planner to join their team in Garston. This role offers a permanent position with a 35-hour work week and excellent work-life balance.
Key Responsibilities:- Maintain accurate records of container movements and documentation
- Plan, schedule, and coordinate container transport operations to ensure timely deliveries
- Monitor transport schedules and adapt plans in response to operational changes or delays
- Liaise with drivers, clients, and internal teams to ensure smooth operations
- Handle administrative tasks, including reporting, data entry, and communication with stakeholders
- Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce operational issues
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory requirements
- Provide support to the wider team during peak periods or operational challenges
Skills and Experience:- Proven experience in container transport planning or a similar logistics role
- Strong administrative, organisational, and time-management skills
- Self-reliant, proactive, and able to make decisions under pressure
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving ability
- Comfortable working with transport scheduling software and Microsoft Office
