Shifts: 4 on / 4 off – Days & Nights – 12-hour shifts

About the Role
On behalf of a Pertemps client, we’re looking for a skilled and proactive Multi-Skilled Engineer (Electrical Bias) to join our team at a state-of-the-art automated facility. You’ll carry out both planned and reactive maintenance — sometimes at heights of up to 120ft.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Maintain and operate key systems such as conveyors, cranes, cooling systems, and oxygen reduction systems in line with supplier guidelines.
- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance, including routine inspections, preventative work, and urgent repairs.
- Work towards KPIs and budget targets, ensuring maximum efficiency.
- Follow structured maintenance plans while ensuring compliance with all safety and supplier standards.
- Coordinate supplier service visits and maintain valid warranties.
- Support warehouse operations to ensure smooth logistics flow.
- Manage spare parts stock, ordering within budget and policy requirements.
- Report clearly to the Engineering Manager and keep accurate records.
- Identify and deliver energy-saving initiatives to improve sustainability and reduce costs.
Essential:
- NVQ Level 3 in Multi-Skilled Engineering or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
- Apprentice-trained background in engineering.
- Experience in an automated warehouse environment.
- Comfortable working at heights.
- Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding skills.
- Positive, can-do attitude with a proactive approach.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Flexible and adaptable to operational needs.
