About the Role:We are seeking a highly organized and experienced
Transport Coordinator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in planning driver schedules, managing driving hours, and ensuring compliance with tachograph regulations. This is a key role within our transport department, and the successful candidate will be responsible for planning daily vehicle routes, managing driver hours, and ensuring that all legal and operational requirements are met.
Key Responsibilities:- Plan and coordinate daily schedules for drivers and vehicles, ensuring optimal route planning and efficient use of resources.
- Monitor and manage driving hours in compliance with legal regulations and tachograph requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of driver hours, vehicle usage, and any delays or issues encountered.
- Ensure that all vehicles are operating within the legal limits and that tachographs are correctly used and monitored.
- Provide ongoing support to drivers, offering guidance on legal requirements and best practices.
- Liaise with the operations team to ensure the smooth and timely delivery of goods.
- Address any issues or delays proactively, ensuring that the transport department runs smoothly.
Key Skills & Experience:- Proven experience in a transport coordination or similar role, with a strong understanding of driving hours, tachograph regulations, and compliance.
- Ability to plan and manage driver schedules effectively, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with drivers and other team members.
- Attention to detail and ability to keep accurate records.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to handle operational challenges calmly and efficiently.
- Good IT skills, including experience with transport management software (desirable but not essential).
