Job Description
Location: Peterborough
Salary: £13.00 per hour, with potential for increase based on experience
Pertemps Recruitment are looking for a Finance Assistant to join a growing team in Peterborough. This role involves supporting financial transactions, maintaining accounting records, and assisting with month-end reporting and reconciliations. You will play a key role in supporting the finance team and ensuring accurate and timely financial data.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process customer invoices, supplier payments, and journal entries
- Perform bank reconciliations and ensure VAT codes are correctly applied
- Assist in preparing monthly financial reports and forecasts
- Review and reconcile debtor and creditor accounts
- Support year-end audits and maintain electronic filing
- Performing Credit control activitiesAssisting with preparing Year-end audit files, ensuring all information and supporting
- 1-2 years’ experience in finance or accounting
- Basic understanding of financial principles and Microsoft Excel
- Experience with Sage X3 (desirable)
- Able to demonstrate initiative and flexibility
