Finance Assistant – (Mon-Fri, 08:30 - 17:00) Flexible
Location: Peterborough
Salary: £13.00 per hour, with potential for increase based on experience
Pertemps Recruitment are looking for a Finance Assistant to join a growing team in Peterborough. This role involves supporting financial transactions, maintaining accounting records, and assisting with month-end reporting and reconciliations. You will play a key role in supporting the finance team and ensuring accurate and timely financial data.
Key Responsibilities:

Process customer invoices, supplier payments, and journal entries
Perform bank reconciliations and ensure VAT codes are correctly applied
Assist in preparing monthly financial reports and forecasts
Review and reconcile debtor and creditor accounts
Support year-end audits and maintain electronic filing
Performing Credit control activitiesAssisting with preparing Year-end audit files, ensuring all information and supporting

Experience/Skills:

1-2 years’ experience in finance or accounting
Basic understanding of financial principles and Microsoft Excel
Experience with Sage X3 (desirable)
Able to demonstrate initiative and flexibility
