Manufacturing Team Leader / SupervisorHours: Monday – Thursday, 7:00am – 5:00pm (4-day working week)Salary: £35,000- £40,000 DOEWe’re seeking a proactive and results-driven Manufacturing Team Leader / Supervisor to oversee cleanroom operations for a leading pharmaceutical manufacturer. This is a hands-on leadership position that requires strong analytical skills, excellent people management, and a commitment to driving performance and quality within a regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate daily manufacturing operations across cleanroom areas (Platinum 1, Platinum 2, and Braid Rooms), ensuring full compliance with GMP and ISO 7 standards.
 - Inspire, train, and develop a team of production operatives, providing clear direction, regular feedback, and effective performance management.
 - Monitor and analyse KPIs to drive continuous improvement, enhance productivity, and maintain operational efficiency.
 - Conduct root cause analysis and lead problem-solving initiatives to reduce waste, downtime, and process variation.
 - Achieve SQDC and OEE performance targets, ensuring all improvement actions are delivered on time.
 - Maintain accurate ERP/Shop Trak data and ensure daily man plans are completed.
 - Collaborate closely with Final Operations and other departments to support on-time, in-full (OTIF) delivery of customer orders.
 - Promote and maintain the highest standards of health, safety, and compliance in all manufacturing activities.
 - Champion operational excellence through 5S, Go Gemba audits, and structured continuous improvement projects.
 
Key Requirements
- Proven experience as a Manufacturing Team Leader, Supervisor, or similar within a cleanroom or regulated manufacturing environment.
 - Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop a high-performing team.
 - Analytical and process-driven, with a proven ability to interpret data and implement effective solutions.
 - Confident IT user with experience of ERP or digital manufacturing systems, reporting tools, and Microsoft Office.
 - Solid understanding of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and cleanroom protocols.
 - Excellent organisational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
 - Experience in extrusion or similar manufacturing processes is highly desirable.
