Job Description
Salary: £11.52 - £11.87 per hour
Hours : Mon – Fri – 38 hours
Location: Derby (DE24 area)
Seeking a detail-oriented Assembly Operative to support the production and assembly of engine transport stands. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling products to specification, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring smooth workshop operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble engine transportation stands to specification, ensuring they are ready for dispatch.
- Receive deliveries and store products within the facility.
- Conduct quality checks and product testing as required.
- Provide on-site assembly and support services at customer locations across the UK.
- Maintain a clean and organised workshop environment.
- Operate forklifts, lifting equipment, and other mechanical tools safely.
- Follow manual handling and health & safety procedures at all times.
- Carry out any other duties as assigned by the Team Lead or Manager.
Key Skills
- Proven knowledge and experience in assembly and sub-assembly operations.
- Previous experience using hand-held tools.
- Ability to read and understand build instruction manuals to ensure products conform to
- specific dimensions and meet required standards.
- FLT experience is required
- Overhead crane experience would be an advantage
- Uk Driving licence desirable
