We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Trade Counter/Yard Operative to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a valid FLT licence and experience in a trade environment, preferably with building materials knowledge. You will be responsible for assisting customers at the trade counter, managing stock, and ensuring the yard operates efficiently and safely.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operating a forklift to load and unload deliveries safely
- Keeping the yard and store area organised, clean, and compliant with health & safety regulations
- Assisting customers at the trade counter with product selection and queries
- Handling goods in and out, ensuring correct stock levels and accurate records
- Providing excellent customer service and supporting the wider team as required
Requirements:
- Valid FLT licence (essential)
- Previous experience in a trade counter, warehouse, or yard role
- Knowledge of External Building materials (preferred)
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
Mon – Fri 7.00-16.00
