Location:Crowborough Delivery Office
Contract: 6-month Ongoing Contract
Hourly Rate: £13.37ph
Hours: 35 hours per week
Shift:
Monday - Saturday between hours 09:00-18:00 with rotating day off
The Royal Mail is a much-loved brand, providing postal delivery services to 64 million
people all around the UK. Due to an increase in demand, Pertemps are working in
partnership with the Royal Mail to source professional Delivery Drivers to support with
their busy operation. This is your opportunity to have a real impact, in the heart of your
community!
About the Parcel Delivery Driver role
You'll start your day in the local delivery office, sorting and gathering the mail needed for
your route. You will collect your allocated vehicle and your hand-held computer device
(detailing your route and tracking your mail) and then deliver the mail and parcels to
your local community. Shift lengths are 6 hours per day.
About You
The ideal candidate for this role will be upbeat, self-motivated, and happy to work alone
as well as part of a team. You will be helpful and approachable displaying a strong
sense of community, as you get to know the people you meet on your round.
Royal Mail deliver parcels whatever the weather, so you will enjoy working outdoors and
due to the amount of walking required you will need to be relatively fit and healthy.
You will be smartly presented, always acting in a professional and courteous manner.
Previous Experience
Some previous experience in a customer facing or delivery role would be ideal but not
essential.
You will be required to complete a full DBS security check prior to commencing work.
Driving licence requirements
A full UK manual driving licence (in your current UK address)
Maximum 6 penalty points
