Seruity Assistant - Wellingborough

Security Assistant - Wellingborough - Term time only - 36 weeks a year

Pertemps Aylesbury is currently recruiting for a Security Assistant for our client based in Wellingborough.

Hours: 40 hours a week on a rota basis

Salary: £24,500 (pro-rata)

The post will provide support to the Estates management team, by promoting a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for all staff.

Duties:

- To complete routine patrols of the assigned campus to ensure the maintenance of good order in the premises, and to monitor behaviour on site. This includes internal and external patrols.
- To respond and assist with different types of emergencies; first aid, fire alarms, bomb alerts, floods, and gas leaks.
- To report any damage or defects found on any site either internally or externally on the online request system.
- To respond to reports of intruders on site and other crime-related incidents. T
- To undertake first aid training and be a college first aider.
- To be responsive to the personal radio system and to react responsibly and efficiently to calls for assistance.
- To deal with disruptive, aggressive, and challenging behaviour and if necessary, remove offender/s
- Spot litter pick in buildings/grounds/areas whilst on patrol and challenge persons on site to drop litter in a professional manner.

Requirements:

- SIA training and licence
- Minimum of 1 year experience in security
- Experience working with the public
- Willing to obtain a basic level of health and safety knowledge
