Job Description
Locations: Falkirk CDC and Grangemouth ADC
Pay: Ranging from £14.02 - £16.04
Role Overview:
Ensure the safe, efficient transport of goods from distribution centers to stores. Maintain product integrity and deliver excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate HGV1 vehicle safely to transport goods.
- Load/unload goods securely.
- Perform vehicle inspections pre/post-trip.
- Plan delivery routes considering traffic and schedules.
- Maintain delivery/mileage records.
- Comply with traffic/safety regulations, including hours and weight limits.
- Communicate with dispatch and store personnel.
- Provide professional customer service.
- Use telemetric and route plans.
- Handle goods to prevent damage.
- Report vehicle malfunctions or safety concerns.
Qualifications:
- HGV Class 1 Licence (min 1 years experience)
- CPC
- Digi Card
- Max 6 points on license
- Map reading ability
- Physical fitness
- Reliability and punctuality
- Client-led induction and driving assessment
