About the Role
We are seeking a friendly, organised and professional School Receptionist for a school based in Droitwich. As the first point of contact for parents, visitors and pupils, you will play a key role in creating a welcoming and efficient front-of-house service for the school.
This is an ideal role for someone who enjoys communicating with people, is confident answering phone calls, and can manage a busy reception environment with a positive attitude.
The duties of a School Receptionist:
- Acting as the first point of contact for parents, visitors and external agencies
- Answering incoming phone calls and directing enquiries appropriately
- Contacting parents/carers regarding pupil attendance and other school matters
- Managing the reception desk and signing visitors in and out
- Providing general administrative support to the school office
- Maintaining accurate records using the school’s management information system
- Supporting attendance procedures and communication with families
The requirements of a School Receptionist:
- Friendly, professional and approachable manner
- An Enhanced DBS check issued within the last 12 months is required
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Confidence answering and making telephone calls
- Ability to work efficiently in a busy office environment
- Experience using the Arbor school management system is desirable
