Job Title: Senior Communications Officer
Location: Hybrid, London Borough of Harrow, Forward Drive, Harrow, Middlesex, HA3 8NT
Salary: £250 Umbrella rate per day 

Role Overview:
The London Borough of Harrow is seeking a Senior Communications Officer to join their team. This role requires strong writing skills, media expertise, and the ability to manage both internal and external communications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute communication plans to support organizational goals
• Create compelling content for print, digital, and social media platforms
• Manage media relations, including drafting press releases and responding to inquiries
• Oversee internal communications to ensure employees are informed and engaged
• Coordinate public relations campaigns and brand awareness initiatives
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of communication strategies
• Collaborate with different departments to ensure consistent messaging
• Handle crisis communications and reputation management

Required Skills & Experience:

• Proven experience in communications, public relations, or journalism
• Strong writing and editing skills with attention to detail
• Expertise in media handling and press release writing
• Proficiency in social media management and digital marketing
• Ability to create engaging video content and visual storytelling
• Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
• Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities
