We are seeking a highly motivated Targeted Catchment Investigations Field Supervisor to join Thames Water permanently. Working within the Environmental Performance team, you will help proactively prevent sewage escaping from the wastewater network—one of Thames Water’s key priorities—improving outcomes for customers and the environment.
You will support a new workstream that identifies high-risk areas, carries out detailed office and field investigations to determine root causes, and delivers targeted interventions aimed at permanent, first-time fixes.
What will you be doing as a TCI Field Supervisor? - Delivery of the Targeted Catchment Investigations (TCI) workstream. Reducing the number of pollutions, sewer floodings and blockages that occur from Thames Waters wastewater network.
- Checking data from field teams to ensure quality and performance against set KPIs.
- Checking crew schedules and arranging regular field inspections and audits for H&S, data integrity and quality of work.
- Review of reports from contractors and ensuring their accuracy against field inspections.
- Review follow-up work captured by field teams for accuracy and to ensure appropriate work is raised.
- Attend regular meetings to discuss contractor performance and data.
- Assist TCI Analysts on work pack creation to assist in ensuring field teams have appropriate throughput of work streams.
- Customer liaison - The TCI process involves work on customer premises as well as in the street. You will support the actions required to manage the customer interface, keeping customers informed and minimising the impact and disruption to customers during the work.
To thrive in this role, the essential criteria you need are: - Full UK driving licence as travel is required.
- A passion to improve our environmental performance.
- Have previous experience from working in a similar role or industry.
- Experience in planning or analysing technical or field operations.
- Experience in positively influencing and working collaboratively with all levels of an organisation to achieve improved business outcomes.
- Experience working with/supervising contractor or field teams.
