Job Description

We are looking for a Field Operations Manager to be based at Deephams.

You will be directing and developing a team of technicians and/or contractors to deliver excellent customer service and operational performance in Clean Water Networks across a defined geographical area.
  • This is a Monday-Friday position.
  • This is a hybrid role with a base location at Deephams.
  • There will be a requirement to join a call-out rota, for which you will receive additional payment.
What you will be doing as a Field Operations Manager
  • Performance managing a field operations team to deliver operational asset maintenance, customer service targets and supporting efficient completion of capital delivery projects
  • Monitor and drive performance against key metrics to make sure all work is responded to promptly.
  • Direct and develop technicians by setting measurable goals, holding team meetings, one-on-ones, completing the PDR process and creating individual development training plans.
  • Promote a culture of engagement and motivation within the team.
  • Conduct regular site visits to assess the quality of work being completed by your team.
  • Take team responsibility for safe working practices which comply with company procedures.
  • Identify and support the implementation of new initiatives to drive operational efficiency and customer service improvements.
What you should bring to the role
  • The ideal candidate will have experience in directing, developing and performance-managing field-based operatives.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are vital for this role, and you must have an exceptional standard of organisation and be health, safety, and well-being aware.
  • You will be fully proficient in the use of Microsoft Office as well as planning and reporting software.
  • Formal influence and management qualifications are desirable. (but not essential)
  • Knowledge and understanding of the clean water network are desirable. (although not essential) as well as the ability to converse with managers and stakeholders.
  • Due to the nature of the role, a FULL UK Driving licence is essential.
