Job Description

Our client, a well-established and growing manufacturing business, is seeking a commercially driven Sales & Account Executive to join their team in St Leonards-on-Sea.

The Role
An exciting opportunity for a commercially driven Sales professional to manage and grow key customer accounts while actively developing new business within a precision engineering environment. This role combines account management, business development, and close collaboration with internal production teams to drive revenue growth and service excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as the primary commercial contact for existing customers, ensuring strong relationships and high retention
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities aligned to company capabilities
  • Prepare quotations and proposals, negotiate terms, and secure new contracts
  • Liaise with production, scheduling, and quality teams to ensure on-time delivery
  • Convert enquiries into confirmed orders and proactively follow up outstanding quotes
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, sales forecasts, and performance reporting
  • Attend industry events and networking opportunities to expand the customer base
  • Identify opportunities to upsell additional services and solutions
Key Experience
  • Experience in a sales or account management role within manufacturing, engineering, or a technical B2B environment
  • Proven ability to grow existing accounts and win new business
  • Strong background engaging with OEMs, subcontractors, or technical customers
  • Understanding of CNC machining or engineering processes advantageous
  • Confident user of CRM systems with accurate sales reporting skills
Package
  • £30,000 – £40,000 DOE + performance-related bonus
  • Full-time, 38 hours per week (8:00am – 5:00pm with an early finish on Fridays)
