Estimator

We are working with a well-established business in the Croydon area who are looking to appoint an Estimator to join their commercial team. This is a key role, supporting the preparation of accurate costings for projects and ensuring customer quotes are delivered efficiently and competitively.

The Role

• Prepare time, cost, material, and labour estimates for manufacturing projects
• Produce customer quotes and proposals in line with business standards
• Work closely with production, engineering, and sales teams to gather project details
• Compare supplier quotes and identify cost-saving opportunities
• Maintain and update customer records, orders, and quotations using ERP systems
• Monitor changes in project scope and adjust costings where required
• Provide support across the commercial function, including invoicing and general admin tasks

The Person

• Previous experience in estimating within a manufacturing or engineering environment
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (e.g. machining, fabrication, assembly)
• Confident using Microsoft Excel and ERP systems
• Excellent attention to detail with strong numerical and analytical skills
• Good communication skills and ability to work with both internal teams and customers
• Able to manage workload and meet deadlines effectively

The Package

• Salary up to £33,000 DOE
• 37.5 hours per week (Mon-Thurs 8.00am-4.45pm, Fri 8.00am-12.30pm)
