We're looking for a HVAC Mechanical Contracts/Sales Design Engineer to be part of a dynamic team in East Grinstead, working on a mix of commercial and residential projects. The Role:
Working within a dynamic design and sales team, you'll take the lead in managing projects across both commercial and residential sectors. You'll build strong relationships with new and existing clients, understanding their needs and delivering tailored HVAC solutions from initial design through to installation and successful handover.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct initial site surveys to establish suitable solutions/designs
• Design air conditioning, heating, ventilation, and control systems to meet client specifications
• Provide calculations, design drawings, and system schematics with in-house CAD support
• Prepare competitive quotations through site surveys, tender requests, and client meetings
• Source and procure equipment and materials, liaising with suppliers and subcontractors
• Attend site surveys and client meetings to assess project requirements
• Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards
• Collaborate with the Service & Maintenance team to identify potential new maintenance contracts
What We’re Looking For:
• Proven track record in quoting and winning HVAC contracts
• Strong technical knowledge of air conditioning, heating, ventilation, and control systems
• Experience in project management, from design to commissioning
• Excellent communication and client management skills
• Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects effectively
• Full UK driving licence
