Job Description
Our client is seeking a reliable and organised Stock Controller to join their team. This role is essential to ensuring smooth warehouse operations and supporting the wider team. Responsibilities:
- Pick and prepare sales orders for dispatch to customers, ensuring all shipping deadlines are met, and dispatched items meet brand and regulatory standards.
- Assist with site activities, including receiving, storage, shipping, and addressing logistics-related issues.
- Accurately complete all required paperwork or electronic records for dispatched items, stored goods, and received deliveries.
- Maintain a clean and tidy workspace at all times.
- Receive and process returned goods promptly to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Safely operate a forklift during daily duties, ensuring compliance with all safety standards.
- Participate in monthly stock inventory counts for all goods on site.
- Comply with all relevant company health and safety policies and practices.
- Use a computerised stock control system to track and manage incoming and outgoing stock levels.
- Handle caged or palletised stock, with occasional handballing required.
Qualifications and Experience::
- Hands-on experience with receiving, storing, shipping, picking, packing, and preparing sales orders in a warehouse or stock control role is beneficial but not essential.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations, particularly in warehouse or catering environments.
- Keen attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
- Valid counterbalance forklift licence and relevant experience operating forklifts safely and efficiently (required for all applicants).
Benefits:
- Competitive salary of £26,000–£28,000 per annum
- Stable working hours (Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM)

Requirements:
- Valid and in-date counterbalance forklift licence with relevant experience
- Full UK driving licence (due to limited public transport availability near the workplace)
- Previous warehouse experience (advantageous but not essential)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in task completion
- Effective communication skills and a positive work ethic
