As an Operations Integration Specialist at Thames Water, you'll play a vital role in shaping the future of our infrastructure, ensuring that every project is built not just to work, but to last.
You won't just observe projects from the side-lines-you'll be right at the core, championing operational needs from concept through to delivery. The role requires the ability to think at a strategic level, a good understanding of wider operational impacts regionally, as well as any demands or implications on operational roles.
Fully embedded in our Water Production team and supporting Capital Delivery, you'll be the essential link between planning and performance, strategy and practicality. This role will be based at one of the UK’s largest Water Treatment Works during an exciting period of major enhancement and refurbishment. This is an opportunity to play a pivotal role in delivering once-in-a-generation upgrades to London’s major water treatment infrastructure.
What you’ll be doing as an Operation Integration Specialist (Water): - Solution process sign-off – Represent the end-user (Operations) during the entire capital delivery project lifecycle and manage expectations of the solution delivery team.
- Outage Planning - Work with Operations to plan and schedule Outages associated with relevant capital projects (align with all outage plans) and take ownership of outage requests.
- Gather & Interpret Data - Be engaged at a local level and understand site restrictions, analyse site performance, quantify, articulate, and flag risk
- Stakeholder management - Manage and facilitate meetings, workshops, and progress reviews for your projects. Manage site access requests.
- Project Administration – Monitor project progress from an operational perspective, liaise with all relevant parties, internal & external.
- Facilitate Testing – Support asset integration and contractor teams with on-site testing for projects that involve complex operational interfaces (particularly relevant for non-infra projects).
- Operational Strategy - Working with system planning, identifying gaps between investment plans and operational requirements.
- Operational Delivery - Working closely with Operational site teams to encourage synergies in order to deliver project success. Role holder is expected to be present on site as required to ensure ownership of related activity and reduce the impact to front line teams.
Base location: Can be based out of Ashford Common (TW15 1RU) or Coppermills - East London (E17 7HE)
Working pattern or hours: 36 Hours per week (Monday to Friday)
