We’re looking for a Proactive Maintenance Engineer to support the Engineering and asset function to meet customer expectations and regulatory targets. You'll be instrumental in implementing a proactive, reliability-centred maintenance strategy as part of our AMP8 plan.
What you’ll be doing as a Proactive Maintenance Engineer - Conducting Criticality Assessments: Perform thorough evaluations to determine the criticality of various sites and systems, ensuring effective prioritisation and resource allocation.
- Verifying Maintenance Data: Lead efforts to verify and improve the accuracy of maintenance data, enhancing decision-making and operational efficiency.
- Developing System-Specific Maintenance Programs: Design and implement tailored maintenance programs that optimise the reliability and performance of specific systems.
- Tracking and Reducing Production Losses: Monitor production losses and implement strategies to minimise them, contributing to overall operational excellence.
This role will be based at Reading Sewage Treatment Works, Hybrid. You will be required to attend the office and sites up to 3 times a week, and as the role and business require you to do.
36 hours a week, Monday to Friday.
Must be a driver and have access to a car to travel to sites. This role will come with a £4,500 per annum car allowance.
What you should bring to the role - Higher National Certificate (HNC) in Science, Engineering, or Mathematics or Equivalent Experience.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and technical capability, with the ability to effectively collaborate, influence and inspire reliability-centred maintenance best practices and lead workshops.
- Experience in leading workshops and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Exposure to forecasting, scheduling, and planning processes and systems throughout the asset lifecycle.
