As a Sampling Field Operations Manager, you’ll proactively and safely deliver Thames Water’s regulatory and operational sampling programmes, ensuring quantity and quality targets are achieved.
This role will involve travel to other sites to engage with front line team members and a UK driving licence is essential. The working hours for this role will include an out of hours rota which including 1 in 6 weekends.
What you’ll be doing as a Sampling Field Operations Manager:- Responsible for the management of a diverse team of field-based Water Quality Technicians, ensuring quantity and quality targets are achieved.
- Coach and drive team performance through active and engaging management.
- Providing a first-class sampling service to key operational stakeholders, while ensuring all Health & Safety obligations and team management responsibilities are achieved.
- Manage audit programme of field sampling activities and ensuring compliance with all professional standards.
We are currently looking for candidates who could be based at either Hammersmith or Walton-on-Thames.
What you should bring to the role:- Proven leadership experience in a fast-paced operation.
- Able to clearly communicate key messages to team and drive high performance standards.
- A strong understanding of clean water regulations and statutory sampling programs would be advantageous. A scientific background is also desirable.
- Adaptable and able to work in a reactive and dynamic environment.
- Excellent IT skills and a technical mindset.
- A UK driving licence is required.
