Job Title: Grounds Team Leader
Location: Plymouth (Efford and Weston Mill), Onsite
Salary: £16.26 per hour
Job Type: Temporary position until December, with possible extension
Working Hours: Monday to Thursday: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM & Friday: 8:00 AM - 3:30 PM
Start Date: ASAP

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Team Leader to manage a team across two sites, Efford and Weston Mill. The successful applicant will be responsible for task managing staff on a daily basis, providing strong direction and ensuring high standards of Health and Safety are maintained.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage staff: performance, training, recruitment, and resource allocation.
- Motivate the team for excellent customer service.
- Ensure a safe working environment: implement and monitor Health and Safety guidelines, conduct Risk Assessments.
- Stay updated on policies, rules, and regulations.
- Handle customer feedback and complaints.
- Supervise memorial product provision.
- Lead ad-hoc projects for service development.
- Maintain customer standards.
- Mentor new staff.
- Coordinate equipment maintenance and replacement.
- Ensure compliance is met..
- Perform driving duties. 
- Act as a contact for public, Funeral Directors, clergy, and contractors.
- Support the Team Leader.

Essential Experience:
- Manage workload and resource conflicts.
- Excellent customer service in sensitive situations.
- Plan work for self and team across sites.
- Drive change and improve practices.

Requirements:
- Previous experience in team leadership/management.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Compassionate and sensitive to situations.
- Valid driving licence
