Job Description

Are you an experienced Reward Manager looking to embark on a new, exciting journey within Thames Water? This is a pivotal time to join us, as we continue to embrace our commitment to deliver on our key objectives.

You will ensure the effective development and delivery of Reward related processes and policy, working closely with key stakeholders in HR, business leaders and our union Partnership.

What you will be doing as a Reward Manager
  • Lead a team of two to design, embed and deliver efficient and effective reward processes including but not limited to annual pay reviews, out of cycle pay increases, annual incentives, average holiday pay and job evaluations.
  • Build strong relationships with HR Heads, HR Consultants, HR Services and the Recruitment team to enable a proactive approach to reward that avoids problems rather than purely solving them.
  • Identify and lead reward projects to ensure we attract, retain and motivate the right people across Thames to achieve our ambitious turnaround plan and Reward Framework.
  • Coach HR Heads and other HR colleagues to help develop their reward knowledge to better partner the business.
  • Keep abreast of trends and thinking in reward and HR, bringing innovative ideas to challenge the status-quo within the business.
What you should bring to the role?
Essential:
  • Strong communication skills to advise and influence HR Heads, divisional leaders, managers and union officials.
  • Significant reward advisory experience gained in a large, multi-site operational business
  • Strong analytical skills – high numeracy and curiosity to find & interrogate data using Excel knowledge
  • Experience improving and developing reward programmes and processes
  • Attention to detail and strong planning and organisational skills to deliver programmes on time and which enhance the employee experience.
Desirable:
  • Executive compensation experience
  • SAP HR experience
  • Power BI knowledge
  • Post-secondary qualification in an analytical subject e.g. statistics, maths
  • Professional recognition especially CIPD
