Private Client Tax Assistant – Guildford (Professional Services Company)

Sheridan Maine is working with a leading professional services company based in Guildford to recruit a Private Client Tax Assistant.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a specialist tax team within a large and established organisation, supporting a diverse portfolio of private clients and gaining exposure to high-quality personal tax work.

 
 The Role – Private Client Tax Assistant:

• Assist with the preparation of self-assessment tax returns for a varied private client portfolio
• Support the administration of high-net-worth individuals, expatriates, and internationally mobile clients
• Prepare basic tax computations and supporting schedules
• Assist with HMRC correspondence and client queries
• Support senior tax professionals with compliance and advisory projects
• Ensure personal tax deadlines are met accurately and efficiently
• Maintain and update client records in line with internal processes and compliance standards 

 
 About You – Private Client Tax Assistant:

• Experience within a UK accountancy practice or professional services environment
• Strong interest in private client and personal tax services
• Good understanding of self-assessment tax returns
• AAT qualified, studying ATT/ACA/ACCA, or equivalent experience
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines
• Confident communicator with a professional and client-focused approach
• Keen to develop within a tax-focused professional services environment
