Sheridan Maine is supporting a well-regarded and expanding accountancy firm in Worcestershire in the search for a Qualified Audit & Accounts Senior. This role is ideal for a qualified accountant seeking a challenging and varied position where you can take responsibility for client work and further develop your technical and professional expertise within a supportive team.

Main duties of a Qualified Audit and Accounts Senior:

• Lead audits and review accounts for limited companies, charities, and other entities.
• Prepare financial statements in compliance with accounting standards.
• Manage day-to-day client relationships, ensuring high-quality service delivery.
• Support and guide junior staff, providing coaching and technical assistance.
• Assist with internal processes, including workflow, deadlines, and quality control.
• Contribute to a collaborative and professional team environment.
• Identify opportunities to add value to client services and support business development.
• Keep up to date with changes in accounting and auditing regulations and apply them effectively.

Requirements for a successful Qualified Audit and Accounts Senior:

• ACA, ACCA, or equivalent qualified.
• Proven experience in audit and accounts preparation.
• Strong technical knowledge and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
• Ability to work independently and take responsibility for client deliverables.
• Confident in supervising and mentoring junior staff.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Proactive, professional, and committed to continuous professional development.
