The Company
Sheridan Maine is partnering with a well-established and respected accountancy practice in Kent to recruit an Audit Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing firm, leading audit engagements and supporting the development of a high-performing team.

The Role
The Audit Manager will take ownership of audit engagements, ensuring high-quality delivery for a varied client portfolio. You will manage and mentor junior team members, liaise with clients, and ensure compliance with professional and regulatory standards.

The Audit Manager will be responsible for:

•  Leading audit engagements from planning through to completion.
•  Managing, mentoring, and developing audit teams through feedback, training, and guidance.
•  Reviewing and approving audit work papers, reports, and recommendations.
•  Maintaining strong client relationships and acting as a trusted point of contact.
•  Ensuring compliance with audit methodology, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
•  Supporting the growth and development of the audit function.

 
The successful Audit Manager will possess:

•  ACA or ACCA qualified with significant post-qualification audit experience.
•  Proven experience managing and developing audit teams.
•  Strong technical knowledge of accounting and audit standards.
•  Excellent client-facing, communication, and leadership skills.
•  Highly organised with a proactive and commercially aware approach.
