Accounts Senior - Hybrid

Sheridan Maine is delighted to be partnering with a highly respected and growing accountancy practice that is seeking an Accounts Senior to join its East London office. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a varied client base and develop your skills in a supportive, professional environment.
 
The Role
As an Accounts Senior, you will be responsible for the preparation of accounts for a diverse portfolio of clients, including small to medium-sized limited companies, LLPs, and specialist sectors. This role will also involve preparing management accounts and cash flow forecasts, along with providing direct advice and recommendations to clients.
 
Key Responsibilities as the Accounts Senior:

• Prepare accounts for SMEs and LLPs from trial balance or manual records.
• Produce industry-specific accounts such as solicitor accounts and charity accounts.
• Prepare discussion notes for client meetings covering accounting and tax matters.
• Liaise directly with clients to resolve queries and provide value-adding recommendations.
• Prepare management accounts and cash flow projections.

 
 
To be considered for the role of Accounts Senior, you will have the following qualifications, knowledge & experience:

• ACA/ACCA qualified or part qualified.
• Experience using IRIS accounts production software (desirable).
• Strong working knowledge of bookkeeping software including Sage and Xero.
• Advanced Excel skills and data analysis capabilities.
• Comfortable handling complex reconciliations (CIS, VAT, etc.).
• Some prior audit exposure would be advantageous.
• A driving licence would be useful.
