This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced finance professional looking to step into a leadership role with real impact and ownership.
You’ll lead day-to-day finance operations, manage a small team, and play a key role in producing accurate financial reports, improving processes, and supporting wider commercial objectives.
Key Responsibilities of an Accounts Manager:- Manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of the finance function.
- Prepare monthly management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, and P&L analysis.
- Supervise AP/AR, credit control, and payroll activities.
- Produce cash flow forecasts and assist with budgeting and forecasting.
- Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements, including VAT returns.
- Liaise with external auditors and prepare year-end accounts.
- Drive process improvements and contribute to system efficiencies.
- Support and mentor junior finance team members.
The Successful Accounts Manager Will Possess:- AAT qualified, or ACCA/CIMA/ACA part-qualified or qualified by experience.
- Proven experience in a similar accounts or finance manager role.
- Strong technical accounting skills and attention to detail.
- Confident communicator with the ability to liaise with stakeholders across the business.
- Experience with accounting software.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks.
- 2+ years of experience in a UK practice.
